  • Making Money with fletching

Hey guys, well i am starting this new thread cause i wanna know from the best fletchers around.....Can you make money doing this tradeskill??? I have thought of ways to do it but in the end it doesn't seem like a very plausable outcome from this trade. Unlike smithing where the armor sells for anywhere from 1k to 250k, arros and bows can't compare. So i am hoping someone out there can helpme out so i am not lost in doing a meaningless tradeskill and wasting my hard earned money.

Bows sell: PoP bows and the new PoR bows.

I've sold some higher-end arrows, but normally only one at a time and for very little profit.

But at 54 you'll have a tough time farming the components for these, outside of the baz.

If you can't farm it, u cant really make a profit, unless u get some lucky buys

Try looking at the price of say stonewood bow and buy components/use buyer. You can usually get components at around 60% of selling price to 70% of selling price. \If skill etc is good enough- u turn a small profit but not anything to brag about

PoR is crazy pp for the first few weeks, till market dries up- after that i doubt you will make a buck in the bazaar from it

Elemental bows are about to say goodbye, since the new bows are so much better and easier to farm. I have NEVER had more then 3 veg vines at a time, lol, and I am doing PoR bows in bunches. But fletching is just not much of a moneymaker atm. It has the neglect of baking/brewing with none of the consumption of end product. Your arrow sales will be singles to rangers with EQ if they cost much. I like the attuneable nature of the new bows as that will help values, but realistically I just priced 2 of them on Trib at lowest in bazaar at 40k. I am selling the regular (old plainswalkers) at 25 and have dropped a couple, but this is all "new product" money and is declining fast. i predict in 2-3 months Druzzil's will be selling for at or less then 20k on trib.

Staying ahead of things as much as possible I have made some money at fletching, but can honestly say most of that was in this expansion. I was in the red until that point. More a tradeskill for love then money.

I can not agree with this statement as I have made 2 million plat in 2 weeks from the PoR bows. They are selling like hotcakes. Favor of Druzzil is the only bottleneck.

long term fletching is not a moneymaker. 2 million in 2 weeks followed by zero for 4 years. PoP bows made some money only after your guild got one for everyone who needed one, rightly so as they helped flag you. PoR bows are simple to get components as a 70 ranger however the finite market is shrinking. im giving the bows away. i never started fletching as a money making exercise

Read the whole post. This is "new item" money. I have made decent plat the last month too, but it is the first time in my fletching career, and isn't going to last. Fletching is not going to be a momeymaker for anyone leveling now until another batch of new recipes comes out and they take advantage of the initial craze.

Endless Quiver destroyed any hope of Fletching being a consistent moneymaker.

I havent sold many bows yet just cause the market on The Nameless is flooded with Composite Bows already 10+ being offered everynight and dropped to 30k. Druzzil's still pretty rare cause of the drop so only see 1-2 at about 150-200k.

I am currently sitting on 4 Druzzil's Bows, 6 Composite Bows, and 10 Composite Bow Staffs. I dont need the plat :P. And if I put mine in market will just kill it - so make money as you can on your servers - not much to be made here on The Nameless for long imo.

Im guessing when "tradeskill useable" gets added to Favor of Druzzil - youll find the bows at about 50-75k for Druzzils Bow and 25K or less for Composite Bows on The Nameless.

I made a ton of money doing elemental bows. I've not messed with fletching every since. Tinkering was the hot commidity for a while, its now kind of died down..

i ahe neer made more then a dozen bows that sold for much profit. then again i never could afford to buy ingredients. i did combines for people jsut on the off chance of a skillup.

however, all the money i made from fletching was from ARROWS. foreign concept i know. but with teh advent of endless quiver and amge summon arrows there isn't much sue for it. before those thigns were readily available i would sell 10 stacks at a time to each person. i didn't make much per arrow but the quantity mad eof for the small profit per arrow.

arrows used to be a godsend for moeny but not anymore. i'll still make them but usually sell to vendors :< they are cheaper then bows and i'm poor these days after getting all trades to 200
