  • Patty melts

I now have a baking skill of 184.. I have been making patty melts to skill up since the mid 150's.. Up until now I have been simply selling them back to the vendors.. BUT yesterday in the bazaar I saw several player vendors selling them ... the price range I saw was from 4-9 gp's to 1-2 plat.. My question is ... Why would ANYONE buy them?? They give 0 stat boosts and you can buy rations dirt cheap from NPC vendors.. I have also noticed many baking items that have a high trival skill give no stat bonus.. What is there purpose other than to be used for skill ups?..

I am taking baking to a high skill because as a tank Halas Meat Pies are a stable and I am getting tired of spending plat on them in the bazaar...

Buying patty melts in the bazaar is just convenience. Its a banquet meal if I recall correctly. Nothing super special but really, 5 pp isn't much to spend for the convenience of having them right there.

I threw them on my trader at 1pp each when I was in that part of baking, and was dumbfounded they sold. They still sell pretty regularly, but they last for a good while.

Besides, who can resist melted cheez goodness?

Some people buy non-stat foods for use in "force-feeding" to ensure they keep their high-bonus stat foods on hand. Others prefer the convience of long-duration food and drink that reduces the number of times they have to go restock. It's not always about the most stats.

I carry Bristlebanes Platter as my stat food of choice. It is the food used for the Aid Grimel quest. Some of the components to make this food are difficult to get. I really do not want to eat one because I forgot to "force-feed" myself. And I forget to do it from time to time. If I am force feeding myself banquet meals I can forget for some time and still not accidently eat my stat food. This is why 1 pp is a trivial amount to pay for something that will protect my Bristlebanes Platter.

            Patty melts

As was stated they are longer lasting meals, There easy to make, and people force feed them so there stat food does not get eaten.

I normally sell Patty melts and Fuzzlecutter Formula 5000 at 1 or 2 plat each on all my new toons. (it takes hardley anytime to get baking that high) I always sell out. I guess its like a convenience store. Starting with small batches with a new toon I can easily make 5k a month at level 1 (this is when I start a new server) Any ways skill up on em and then sell them while four AFK. if there still there when you wanna play again bank or sell to vendor. You can always make more.

PS. Molto Has retired. EQ2 has lured core group away.

I quit the game I loved because it wasn't anymore. Guilds allowing farmers in because they could do a lot of damage in raids.
SoE not really doing anything about farmers, macroquesters ect.
Still Some of my favorite times spent online happened in Norath. The friends and mobs I remember fondly.
