There's spiderlings in WK? Must be relatively new. When I leveled up back there pre-Kunark, the only spiders in the zone were giant spiders.
Yep, it's new. When they added newbie quests in Qeynos, they imcluded spiderling silks or silk threads in some of them, and they added spiderlings in WK because the one truely inteligent person at VI who made up the newbie quests said, "Hey, you're gonna need to add this, this, and this, or these quests are just going to drive people away from the game because they'll be impossible for your actual, new players."

got frightened of luclin when I first got it cause my guildies were all hunting in maidens eye. I went over with them, and the mobs there are insanely tough for their level.
Funny, i went to Luclin as soon as i got it (level 19 on my main) wandered around a bit, enjoyed the scenery, got squished to death y a level fourty mob (stonegrabbers in MS are indifferent, why does this one in ML hate me?) Some mobs are insanely tough for a melee, but zones like TM and MS thrill me to no end, because noone EVER quad kites them, there's nothing in EQ more frustrating than spending 3 minutes and most of your health pounding on one mob while a dr00d finishes 2 quads, and i never have to see that on the moon. Not to mention the Vamps, Shadows, and Spire Spirits -- Could there be anything so beautiful as an undead mob that's immune to fear, procs a lifetap, and can be soloed by any cleric willing to practice a little?

      Nope.

EK is slightly inconventient, being 3 zones from Misty Thicket, but LOIO is next to a PoK zone (and nearest druid gate is DL), EW is same distance from a PoK book as a druid ring, and HSM is 2 zones from a PoK book (as opposed to the druid gate next zone over). It's not a significant advantage.

And melees can extended farm greens much, much faster than casters (except necros).

Actually EK is just next to NK and a spire....remember the spires Combine them with books and you can get pretty much anywhere fast except CS/WL

As for farmers what really burns my biscut is the lazy (mostly dr00ds) farmers who sit on their ass waiting for YOU to kill ph so they can track to the mobs YOU just spawned and kill them. Can anyone be more deserving of a trian then them?....

          ranger vs druid

Heh its true my ranger never had to worry about transport. My RL wife has a 52 druid and (now) 50 HLF Ranger. Combine that with my druid and ranger and we are two boxin farming machines
We did head to head druid vs ranger several times. The ranger wins because they can sort track by distance and run right to the mob. Druid track is sorted by spawn time. So you never know how close the mob is.
And of course if the mob is a little bigger and the druid cant effectively melee it, Ranger wins because of mana down time.
So I agree: best is two accouts with transport druid on one and 30+ ranger on the other

Spires have up to a 15 minute cycle time. I can zone 3 times in 15 minutes easily.

I would hope so but either way EK is still very accesable and it really depends as far as spires are concerned if you hit one near take off or not.

              down with lazy dr00ds.
