On the now-closed Hollowshade thread I made a rather blunt, rather angry response to Katalaeia's experience. I must apologize for this, it was bad form for me, and a lot of things pent up finally got out in a burst of misdirected anger.
I have been working the various Shar Vahl tradeskill-based quests for some time. Each Vah Shir class is given a specific progressive quest from their guildmaster. In addition, there are further progressive quests given by the inhabitants of the city, with the most commonly known to result the luclinite mallet. It has been among my goals to eventually complete all of these quests (except the ones not available to my class).
Also, many of the class-specific boards maintain lists by server of those who have completed their classes' bane weapons quest, because the completion of the weapon requires the collaboration of all Vah Shir-playable classes. Listing my name among those volunteering to help complete this was another of my goals.
However, I have been unable to meet any of these goals because of the Hollowshade war. My collection of partially finished quest items is beginning to consume a significant portion of my bank. Most commonly this is because the necessary mobs have been despawned, but those farming the war have gone so far as to despawn mobs while I was fighting them.
Yes, the cloak quests are among the quests requiring drops from Hollowshade, but there are many others. The war disrupts the class-specific quests for an entire race of people, and all the races capable of playing the beastlord class. It also disrupts the quests of anyone else venturing to Shar Vahl to try to quest their way through their skills.
Thank you Katalaeia for taking the time to see if others needed anything from the zone, because others do not even take the time to type a slash to see if anyone else is there, and please accept my apology for venting my frustrations at you. Also, I extend my thanks to anyone else who has taken the time to listen and to better understand why such frustration might exist.
