A guildmate of mine in EQ2 has leukemia, and needed platelets the other day. Unfortunately, there were none available, as the blood bank in his area is desperately low, and he had to wait most of the day for some to be flown in from another city. If it had been an emergency, instead of urgent, that delay would have been fatal.
If you're an adult in the U.S., please think strongly about donating blood, and pass the word to family, friends and co-workers.
Giving blood DOES save lives.
