Here is a Geerlok tool +5% to your Research skill (so you can have an effective 210 skill). Kill the skellies on the beach in Gunthak and bring silvertipped quills to your local tinker. The trivial level is between 215 and 232 and requires a no drop bought in Gunthak and three small items bought at any regular tinkering merchant (alas there are none in Gunthak).
