and I'm actually guessing it has something to do with the Ice Essence, Earth Essence, Fire Essence or Air Essence that were dropped in Crystallos? Wouldn't that make more sense than Prismatic Faycite since the books quotes:

The elemental essences found within Crystallos seem to have great power.

it looks like it might have been some way to make something that would work with the cultural armor instead of the armor created with the cores?

According to the book Seals of the Elements, it could be combined with an elemental essence from Crystallos. Maybe the Prismatic Faycite that is already used in many Faycite Seal combines ?
