I ran across a tip that has helped me keep track of what I'm attempting during long tradeskill sessions. I couldn't find a way to write a note directly to the log file without everyone around me seeing it, so I made a private chat channel.

Send a message to that chat channel "Attempting Platinum Ruby" or whatever and then do your combines. Later you can look in the log file and see what you were trying and what the success/failure rate was a lot easier.

Someone at Druids Grove suggested this after I'd ask about making notes in a log. Seems to work well so far :)

If you have 2 computers, group an alt and log both computers~ Have the time sync'd on both computers too so you can see the combines simultaneous with the skill messages or whatnot.

If you type /note, it will bring up a window you can type just about anything in. When you log out, it will be in a file called notes.txt.. that may or may not be what you're looking for...

Yeah, I tried the /note thing, and that might work because it is timestamped and all, but it's not in the log. Meaning I have to remember to go out and move it over before running a parser on it.

Was looking for a way to have it all in the same file.
