This is not EQ related, but a rant none the less. I needed to get a new heater core for my blazer. Not that I couldn't put it in, or so I thought, but more that I didn't have the time to. I had put in a lot of hours, way back starting in middle school, working on cars with my dad, So I am pretty familiar with most parts of them.
So, I got the heater core last night. Take off the bottom portion of the dash, exposing "most" of the heater core cover. I remove the screws holding it in place, well the ones I could see. Wouldn't budge. Feel around, 2 more that I really can't get to without taking off the dashboard, or moving it out enough that I could reach up and get the screws out.
So, I get all the nuts, bolts and screws holding the dash on taken off or out. The right side is moving, but not far enough to get in to be able to do what I need to, left side won't budge. Dig around a little, can't see a reason why. It's getting late, and starts to rain. Urrggghh.
Now I have to go buy a repair manual to see what I missed on the stupid dashboard so I can take it off. I hate the dashboard now. Now I see why the charge an arm and a leg to replace a $21.95 part.
