Whats the cheapest way to skill up from 42-102? I'm currently at 47 and have limited plat, making smokers, dieties or pots is just too expensive. I've been making small bowls, but rarely get skill raises. Anyone have suggestions?

That's about it. Your only viable choices are smokers and small bowls. As far as the expense, remember that you don't have to fire them for the skill-ups. That should help SOME with the costs. As a general rule, it'll take far fewer combines to go from 47 - 82 with an item that trivials at 82 than it would to go from 47 - 82 with an item that trivials at 102.

Sorry I couldn't give you an answer you where hoping for. Good luck.

If you need to make some plat to further your trade skill habit there are some easy things you can hunt and sell in the bazaar for some fairly quick cash. This works especially well for trade skills up to 100 skill, after which some of them start to become expensive hobbies.

One of the easiest things you can do is kill spiderlings and sell the spiderling silks. Each server is different but I would be surprised if you couldn’t get at least 1pp per silk. Check the prices on your server and sell yours accordingly. Depending on your level, you can also hunt lions and sell the low, med and high quality hides. Also watch for bone chips and zombie skins on vendors if you can’t farm them yourself. They should sell for a lot more in the bazaar then what you pay for them from an NPC vendor. And if you are able to raise your tailoring skill, you can make leather padding which sells on my server for 25pp each. And leather padding becomes trivial at 31 tailoring. Though you should have a higher skill if you want to lower your failure rate.

These items should earn you enough money to help you pursue whatever trade skill you become addicted to.

Best of luck.
