I've never been into gambling actually; in my real life I'm kind of risk-averse. But as I was going through a stack of acrylia studded combines today, I realized I was wagering on the RNG, and that with each combine I was actually sitting there sweating and praying for a skillup. Pretty amusing if you think about it, but it does kind of explain the intoxication that tradeskills have, and why some of us are so hooked on them. Not to mention the occasional sweet payoff in making a rare or valuable item.
