Shared bank slots, KEI and Virtue for any level, no equip loss till level 10, no more hell levels...

does anyone else feel scammed about how EASY they're making twinking... I mean, I'm really starting to lose respect in the level status of the game.... I mean a dozen e-bayed uber twinks per server is one thing... but it's like everywhere I go there's at least a handful of people that have no idea what they should be doing...

(chanters not stunning casters, warriors/shd/pal that can't hold taunt, any melee who refuses to let the rogue be the one BEHIND the mob, balancing the mob so that it doesn't get pushed up a hill/tree, rangers who pull 3 mobs when one is plainly in sight, wizards that can't time their nukes so that they don't get aggro)

heck the list goes on... but by 40-50 levels.... how are we learning LESS???

I agree but at least high lvl spells should now have their lvl restriction. *crosses fingers*
The game is becoming increaseingly easy. Travel which used to be fun and scary is nothing. *sigh* Makes me wonder how easy EQ2 will be to begin with.

You do know that the same patch which has put in shared bank slots has made it so that KEI and Virtue won't land on anyone below about level 46?

        Check your research, oldtimer. :-)

The same patch that put in the shared bank slots took away peoples beloved 50+ buffs.

There has definately been a higher idiot quotent on the game over the past few months - mind you, this is before most schools let out, so we can't blaim it on the kids this time. I guess the game has finally matured to the point that evolution is no longer driving these folks back to Doom and Diablo.

My chanter twink, with 225 Int unbuffed, is about to take his bankful of tinkering components and just forget about them.

Trying to find ANOTHER 25 points of Intel gear is something I have zero interest in.

Just fixing the boats (and adding translocators, whenever that happened) made travel so much easier! My two favorite bugs were:

                1. Getting to the zone line and having the boat zone without you.
                2. Zoning and having the boat leave before you got there.

Either way, you were in for a possibly ugly swim.

There are still long trips that can't be bypassed other than by not going to the zone in question. Granted, you don't have to run/boat for an hour and a half any more, but was that really a necessity in the first place, or more of a novelty that's worn off now?

Well, ONE of the old boat bugs is back. Monday I tried to hop on the boat at Sister Island and ended up jumping right THROUGH it. I was NOT expecting that dunking. I tried 3 times before it left port (the other person waiting for it did the same thing) and feel through it each time. The next boat was fine but I was half expecting it when I tried and was wondering HOW I was going to get out of OOT.

Ah, another good effect of the change I hadn't even considered. It makes it harder for people to make alts just to up a tradeskill they aren't really that interested in.

Oh, and just for the record, you only need 11 more int. Enchanters have buffs that boost int besides KEI and it's follow ups.
It's up to you, what you do will decide your own fate.

Wow!!! For weeks, I have been telling people brilliance was 50+

I was going to post, and correct you, but as always I went to verify my information.

Level 44 spell, and it gives 14 Int if the caster is above 52.

I stand corrected, and in your debt.

                            So much to address.

I learned to play before Breeze was even introduced. So when I first was learning, no one had Clarity.

Last night there were lots of casters (not just wizards and magi but clerics too) who were nuking like there is no tomorrow. Why? Trying to get the most bang for their last fleeting KEI buck.

People were ungrateful for Breeze in a pinch because they've been spoiled by KEI. KEI was being begged or bought for tradeskill advancement and adventuring. How much mana and mana regen does a level 1 REALLY need? They threw their most powerful spell, and by the time the recast was up, they had a 17 point tick of mana regen. (the bottomless mana pool)

As a low caster, I loved Breeze before I ever heard of KEI. It was like meditating before I had the meditate skill. Get me to Meditating level, and I felt fantastic.

Bonus INT & WIS (KEI) was great for boosting skill gains, but does a level 1 caster who can afford to cough up 50pp for a 4+hour KEI -need- it? Probably not. Most such characters have so much twinkage they can afford the extra combines to skill up.

I miss KEI like most do. But I never felt it was essential to my functioning. Last night, my KEI faded about 4 minutes after I logged on (which assured I had full mana to begin) I tossed Intellectual Superiority and Breeze on myself, and went to my adventures. Like a true caster, I spent a lot of time sitting. Not one person in the group died, and no one had to call for a mezz. Why? I was all over it. Doing my job like I should. KEI or not, my job was crowd control.

I would've liked to have had KEI for my 4 stacks of gold bar combines though. I think I need to find a Geerlok, cause last night I failed a lot and got 3-4 skill points out of 4 stacks of gold. I would've liked to get more skill (INT buff) and more money back (Geerlok for success) but all in all I think they did the right thing by taking KEI away from the very low levels.

Although, I wonder if they'll look at other level limits to impose on other buffs?

                              off by a day

Ok, well they got rid of the KEI buff bug... but still doesn't make up for the many other ways they're making twinking and PLing possible...

I'm sure they would have kept the KEI buff in if there weren't so many people complaining about the abuse of it. It's like legalizing medicinal marijuana and then complaining about drug abuse...

                              you're just asking or trouble
