There will always be those that see themselves as being 'better' than those with lesser characters/gear and make it painfully obvious that they view the people behind those characters as worthless.
Go to any forum anywhere that is public access and you'll get a heck of a lot more of it than here... IMHO this forum is actually one of the most civil forums out there.

You know, posting this isn't likely to get you any more help. And as far as being uber goes, I haven't seen anyone get stepped on as you so imply.

Yes, sometimes the threads here can be arguementative, but you know what? Some of us like to have a good arguement from time to time. We are all adults here and the mods make sure that everything maintains a semblance of civility .

I took the time to read through a good many of your posts, you may be feeling like you are getting stepped on because you are not "uber" but that is simply not the case. You have simply made some erroneous posts and some of the regular posters/more experienced tradeskillers have called you on it.

Think about it. He makes a post with no redeeming qualities, insults us, and then "Walks away".

This, friends, is the textbook definition of a troll.

There was NOTHING positive AT ALL that could come from this.

Wrin, you are entitled to your opinion. However, while you didn't insult anyone in particular, but you did imply insult of the community as a whole. That will only produce strong reactions, some of which are bound to get extreme eventually, and none of which is likely to accomplish anything. Therefore, I am locking this thread.

I would encourage you to look around a little more and participate in discussions about tradeskill issues to see what you think for yourself, instead of relying on what you have heard in other threads about the boards. If there are folks here with the mindset you describe, I assure you there are many more who aren't. Just like anywhere else in life. It's up to you if it's worth it to stay. If it's not worth it, just move on. Sticking around just to make trouble will not be tolerated.

Feel free to hang around a while longer and post s'more, but it needs to stay friendly. Trolls and flames are completely unwelcome here, and will be handled decisively by the House Ogre. See the Visitors Corner for more specific guidelines. This is just a gentle warning, since I'm not sure you intended to be as inflammatory as your post sounds to us. But the House Ogre won't be nearly as gentle if it happens again.
