  • Forgot how much I hate heady Kiolas

Doing the final points in tailoring to finish off Wu's for my 5th shawl and have come to remember just exactly why I had chosen mandrake root instead of cured silk - HKs SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what it is about them - probobly the lousy one HK per combine ratio - even as someone who doesn't mind MTPs for skilling, I find the fact that I need four of these little craps per combine to be really getting on my nerves.

I had my 34 chanter bang out 200 mana vials for me before I started working on the HKs - with a c3 and a woven grass bracer, it was bad, but I thought it'd be the hardest part of the ordeal - nope - it's the @#$% HKs.

Whomever came up with some of these ingredient combos really should see a shrink - the person is obviously either a total sadist or too insane to be walking the streets.

that is exactly the reason why i don't make my own coldain tempers anymore. I was making them-but to make the heater then combine with FOUR ce's was just too much for my poor little fingers after about 500 or so tempers. Was saving money true, but I think I will just pay twice as much from now on. Wish you had that option for HK's.

Heh, when I was doing Wu's I became so frustrated with heady kiolas that I dubbed them "headache" kiolas.

Anyone can combine ribbons to 187. Not just INT casters.

They're going insane... and I'm reaping all the benefits.

                    (John Lovits voice)

Actually the only time these have annoyed me were when I was making them with my monk before I knew anything about tradeskills. They were part of a requirement to join my guild...

I failed sooo much it cost me 30pp, or half the money I had to my name, to make the 25 required. That was with a 0-9 skill as a monk. hehe

Since then when I went back to them for my own tailoring exploits it has been gravy. Sure, I made 1000 of them to make Wu's, but it is better than farming.

Many a day to clean out my bank I sold a few stacks in bazaar for 4pp each, 20x cost. They sell well to nearly insane tailors .

Unless you have a pocket chanter Wu's is NOT cheaper than ribbons. At least not up to 167. I don't plan on stopping with ribbons until 187 though. The way I see things, I'd happily cut out my teeth with a rusty butterknife than try to dig up an enchanter to make mana vials, or pay the prices they would charge if I could find one willing to drag himself away from his KEI business to do it.

Sony should just bite the bullet and let me take over tradeskills, I'd do it free. By the time I was through with things KEI+ (including MGB) would only be landable on 51+ characters, JCM3 would be an inate large races (ONLY) AA, and you could only buy mana vials and enchanted metal bars directly from vendors who could only be bought from if you were a rogue using hide/sneak.

I'd be fair though. I wouldn't want them to suffer the loss of these "class defining" skills without compensation. With fairness and balance in mind, all enchanters would start off the game with an innate begging skill of 50.

(WTF do you mean charm is now broken? it works perfectly as long as you are a gnome warrior)

Definately not time to do a chanter rant .

If you're trying to get a guy who is C3ing for donations to enchant 100 vials, you're asking the wrong guy, hehehehe.

Everyone should have enchanter friends, even one in their 30's, 40's, heck over lvl 12. Donate for their KEI for them, and give them the components and most are more than willing.

I did make a lvl 12 enchanter for myself, but that was after I didn't want to bug friends anymore after getting 7 stacks and not quite trivializing wu's.
