I don't know if you want to do this, but could you keep the "Marketplace" forums on the old EZBoard Messageboard?

I'm guessing that the Marketplace forums (or "fora" if you want to be extremely picky) generate about twenty percent of the daily traffic on the message boards - but they comprise 75% of the total number of forums that your message board software has to track. I think this would be a reasonable compromise - although I admit that it would force you to deal with two messageboard providers.

One thing you could do that would help things slightly is to merge all the marketplace forums into one big forum and require the server name to be posted in each subject.. They're not the busiest forums and so a merge wouldn't be that disastrous I don't think..

The only downside is that the profit from it would be pretty small.. The amount of DBase queries would be less, seeing how it doesn't have to switch subdatabases and instead queries all from one sub-database (forum). The gain would be marginal, but perhaps noticeable.

I myself run a phpBB board but it doesn't hold a candle to the amount of traffic going on here, so other than that I really wouldn't know a simple solution.
