Just curious if the term "positive faction" means Non-KOS, Indifferent, or Higher than indifferent?

The faction required is higher than indifferent as sneak did not help. I'm dubious to Froglok's of Guk right now, so have a long way to go.

Based on what I've read other places, you may need to be either warmly or ally to complete the quest.

I also saw somewhere that an imp illusion would raise faction to the Froglok's of Guk, but haven't tested myself yet.

The faction required is high kindly. Most people just push to warmly to be sure (hint, if you are pulling to the Safehall, you can look into the next room and con the froglok slaves there to check your faction).

I am a dark elf necro, faction topped at medium kindly with frogloks of guk by killing in lguk in ae grp for days. I have scalp of the ghoul lord, I went to the old frog and he didnt want to have anything to do with me. So, I got an enchanter to come with me and cast Tricksters Augmentation on me. It took me from med kindly to ally. Now to get reet crown :x that's gonna take some time.... Stormhammer ppl must think they too good for Seb :evil:

I'm threatening with frogloks of guk as an agnostic Ogre and when I had Trickster's Augment cast on me I went down to scowling, did they change the faction of this spell?

Indeed they changed Tricksters. I am a Darkelf as well and with a little help of a guildmate we found out that Illusion Highelf popped me up to warmly +scalp since i can't get over kindly by myself.

Both people involved need the correct faction to do the quest.

If you're pulling to Safehall, you're in the wrong zone. Live Guk faction was added to kills in Old Sebilis, and its reported to be much more faction than you get off of the dead frogs in Lower Guk. Even the difference in level and toughness between frogs in the two zones its reported to be much faster to faction up in Sebilis than it is in L Guk.
