No tradeskills in Playstation 2 Everquest...

This is a quote from a chat on one of the EQOA fansites:
<Aradiel> Tradeskills will not be part of release. We're THINKING about adding them in the expansion.

Aradiel is the lead content designer for Everquest: Online Adventures for the Playstation 2.
To me, this is disappointing news. The game is currently in Beta 3 and due to go on sale Feb 11. Guess I'm gonna be waiting for that first expansion before I buy it.

Oy, this is what happened with the original EverQuest. Tradeskills were added as an afterthought and therefore never incorperated into the main parts of the game. I mean, look how long it took for tradeskills to even become good.

Ah well, I wasn't planning on playing it anyways. ;)
