can half elves make any type of these new robes, which seem to yield a semi-lucrative skillup path?

I don't think they can, but it wouldn't surprise me either way, since half elves "don't have their own culture" as sony says.

No, they can't.

The robes are also only available to the races which have int casters. (And exclude one int caster race, the Froggies.)

You can, however, make the ribbons for skillups, and then sell the ribbons to tailors that are tired of doing subcombines and/or are unwilling/unable to farm the dyes for themselves.

Thanks I didn't see that the ribbons trivialed higher as well. Is it better to go for the ribbons... or make wu's?

Ribbons are a bit expensive for me to skill up solely on (for shawl on one char, gm on the other for tailoring) so I'm doing the wu's up to it's highest trivial, then doing gold ribbons. Not sure if I'm going to do the platinum or not, they seem a bit expensive.
