Hi!

I'm a lvl 65 enc with 345 int, 289 cha and 182 wis. I'm working on my tinkering skill and it moves really slow. I made 150 combines (geerlocks and collapsed kits) and raised my skill from 193 to 196. 3 points in 150 combines. Is that normall? Do i make something wrong? Or just bad luck? Since a skill of 170 i need 20+ combines to raise one point.

Anyone can help?

Thanks a lot!

That's normal. The 190-205 range is the slowest for every trade skill. Takes time and effort to get past it, but once you get past it, you'll find the skill up rate goes up a bit, to about 1 in 15. But before you get there, expect to see at least 1 skill up that takes over 100 attempts to get.

Going from 190 to 200+ was a huge pain for me as well. The cheapest way I see to do it is to plow the netherbian layer and hunt for porous mineral blocks and do brewing devices until you snap. Alternatively for more cash you can vendor farm like a crazy person in the Vah Shir newbie zone. You can usually find a lot of drops for the Luclin era geerloks here. Its much cheaper to just do Luclin geerloks until about 210-215 at which point the collapsed stuff starts becoming a reliable combine for success. Or if you don't mind farming, do the LoY geerloks till they trivial 220+. I do collapsed stuff to sell not to skill up, there is no way I could afford the coiled springs.

P.S. I would like to personally "thank" the person who made folded sheets and metal bits used in collapsed stuff.
