Markar's Discord (W56) recipe incorrect - DO NOT research

The recipe given in Scry's Compendium of Destruction II for Markar's Discord is as such:

Rune of Alternation + Rune of Gale

When combined earlier, this yielded Pillar of Lightning, which is supposed to use the rune of Alteration.

Yes, I double-checked the rune name. AlterNation and Gale make Pillar of Lightning. Whether this is an problem with the database (programmer keyed it wrong) or a bad recipe I have no idea. I'll be petitioning it to see if I can get my runes back or the spell.

For now, DO NOT try to research Markar's Discord.

As an aside, the combine was trivial at 200 research

Heya. I did some asking around and was told the following:

The book is currently in error (and being fixed). The correct recipe for markar's discord is rune of alternation and rune of coalition. I'll fix the appropriate web pages.

I don't think anyone from Graffe's has been back here to this thread yet, so let me be the first to express our thanks, Niami.

On behalf of the wizard community on both Graffe's and in EQ at large, thank you for taking the time to confirm this recipe with a Dev and distribute the correct info to wizards on both your own site and within our community.

We wizards appreciate the effort you took in order to protect us from burning precious runes on Pillar of Lightning, something most of us either already had or weren't shooting for. Please keep up the good work. :D

I had to whimper at the House Ogre (who visits Graffe's a LOT) for the proper URL, but I try to keep an ear open for things that affect more than one community.

EQTC is quite late coming into the spell research arena, but the community has rallied to provide us with a lot of information. It's only fair, and right, that I make sure that the information is spread where it will do the most good.

I hope this doesn't sound trite, but such cooperation helps all of us. I very strongly believe in sharing information, as it makes not only my community stronger, but helps others as well (and possibly encourages wizzies to make things once in a while instead of just blowing them up. /tease).

Anywayyy, I can't promise to be a regular over there, but I'll try to keep my ears open for things that affect you folks.
