120 in potery 15 plat 1.5 hours.
Here is how
0-10 Medium jar 13 atempts 5 success's
10-25 medium jar 18 atempts 5 more success's
25-36 medium jar 20 atempts stoped counting successes cause I destroyed what i had or droped on ground. (they don't sell back to merchant)
36-50 on medium bowl 20 attempts
50-59 same
59-69 same
69-77 same
77-85 same
85-92 same (so far a total of 12 plat)
92-98 medium bowl 20 attempts
98-106 same (woot master potter less than an hour)

Needed mor water flasks. Put a shout to zone for 10 stacks and offered 30 plat. (hehe I know but was in the groove)
Was in West freeport by the way. Is there any water in this zone jeeshh. Baught my first batch near bank in NFP)

Ok back to it

106-114 Medium bowl 20 combines. (success almost ever combine)
114-120 LARGE bowl 20 combines (Was tired of destroying so switche to a higher item early on. (didn't relize how spendy scetches where untill after I baought the stack (Ackkk)

Never once fired a thing. Them sheets are spendy
Now to make me a thurg gate potion

So all and all I could have gotten to 120 with 15 plat. but was lazy and spent an extra 70 I didn't really have to
all in all 85 plat +/- gold silver copper to 120

At Kerra Isle now looking for some grubs to PL Brewing can't find the merchant tho
Heading back to look now that i got his name and will track

Is this with new harder skill ups or can it still be done in an hour?

Water can be found in east freeport at the first building as you come through the gate. The bartender has it.

It seems instead of getting a skillup on 3 out of 4 attempts (pre-nerf), I've been getting a skillup on 1 out of 4 attempts. So it's still pretty quick, hehe. Not too drastic a change IMO.

Yep, wouldn't bother firing anything you're making for skill until you get to poison vials. Poison vial sketches are costly, relatiely, but if you fire the succesful poison vials they sell back for about 80% of what they cost to make. This is definitely worth the few silver HQ firing sheets cost!

Actually, I recommend selling the poison vials to other players. Sure, they can buy them from some of the poison vendors, but a lot of people can't be bothered running around finding the vendor if they can find them easily in the Bazaar. Lately, you need vials of mana for almost every tradeskill!

I'm currently at pottery skill 109 and am averaging a little over a skillup per stack of components doing medium bowls.

What is the minimum wisdom/intel recommended for pottery skillups? I'm just trying to do pottery to make vials for my Rogue. She only has 67 INT and 70 WIS.

Is that hopelessly low to get a decent skillup rate? Will getting INT or WIS above 100 help? I thinking a KEI and purchasing something to Add WIS.

Is it true skillups use the higher of WIS or INT?

This is getting frustrating. Looks like as a Barbarian Rogue I'll have to stick to fletching or smithing.

Thanks,

Kleq

Yes, trade skills use the better of int or wis for skill up purposes. And I believe smithing will also use your strength if it is higher. I don’t how it breaks down, but the higher your stat the faster your skill ups should come. That certainly doesn’t mean you can do trade skills with stats below a hundred. It just means that you’ll skill up slower. But if you do plan to get either int or wis items for trade skill purposes, I’d recommend looking into what kind of wisdom items you can wear. I’m used to playing a druid and buying wisdom gear. Then I started a necromancer and I was amazed at how much more expensive intelligence items were. I would also suggest investing in a couple of opal encrusted steins. They are often cheap in the bazaar, I’ve seen them several times for 20pp each, and two of them will give you +50 charisma when held. Place these in your hands when buying supplies or selling back to vendors. Doing so can really save you a lot of money.

Poison vials are extremely useful and can be cheaper with a little time.

Poison vials can be made with zombie skins and these can be farmed rather easily in SK. Poison vials stack and I kept mine to get viscous mana vials from chanter friend all i had to supply were the pearls.

Farming the zombie skins defintely defray the cost of firing sheets and you average about 1.75 skins per zombie which is a helluva lot better than farming pelts.

Where are the zombies in SK? I went to the spot shown on the map at eqatlas.com, the zombie obelisk (looks like wizzie spires) and all that were there were 7-8 skellies. I tried farming skins in Unrest but was lookin for somewhere else as the spawns at Unrest are so slow.

That zombie obelisk spawns both zombies and skellies. The spawn will switch up on you. I just earthquaked them, then waited - rinse, repeat.

After a dozen rounds i was getting all zombies each time
