View Full Version : Problems making an Artisan's seal at skills of 148 and 185

Today I was trying to make an Artisan's seal with a skill of 148 in pottery, the skill needed was >102 as posted in the trophy section. Well I succeeded on the combine on the wheel and it was trivial, but then I went to fire it with the HQ sheet and I failed non-trivial. So on the next one I got a pal to do it he has a bit higher skill at 185 and he failed at the firing point also. So basically I am wondering is it bugged or is the firing just at a much higher skill level than the combine? Thank for any input ya'll may have.

Because you will *never* get a trivial message if you fail a combine.

Trivial messages *only* pop up when you successfully combine and the combine is trivial. If you are failing more than once, you're just unlucky. :(

The fireing process is trivial at 250 for you as a potterer if you want the Grandmaster Potterer one. Tho the pottery part that all tradeskill trophies need is trivial at 107.

So ArtisansSeal is trivial at 107 but...

Grandmaster Potters sculptor is triv at >250

Hope that helped some.

The trivial for firing any item is around 17. However, despite the trivial level, the failure rate is much, much higher than 5%, has been since the dawn of time.

Bah!

I saved for months before trying my first seal this past weekend. My JC is 200, Pottery 200, and I was going to try for my GM Baking trophy.

I mounted the four gems with no problem whatsoever, and, although nervous about the final trophy combine, I felt that I could do it. Trouble is, I never got that far - with Pottery 200 + geerlok, I failed the seal combine!!!!! Didn't even get as far as firing the rotten thing.

I HATE that RNG!!!

Now I have to save up a couple more months for the next attempt. : (

I feel for you - I had the @#$% kiln eat my final combine of all four seals - 150+ points trivial and it eats a 4500 plat combine - sigh.

Deep,

A couple months to make that much plat? With a 200 in pottery and 200 in JC, you could possibly recoup that easily. I assume since you have 200 in each of these that you possibly have 250 in something else?

Even bakers I know can make enough to fire a seal every week or so. Determination and a Fully stocked trader mule can work WONDERS for cash flow!

LOL! The fact of my having 200 in virtually every Tradeskill is the reason why it takes me so long to save up for a seal combine - all the rest of my money goes on the actual tradeskills, plus equipment upgrades for me! :D

Okay, maybe I was exaggerating just a teensy bit in the months, rather than weeks, to save up.. ;)

But the good news is, due to a good run in the bazaar, I tried again and sailed through! 8)

Now to get to 51 so I can start AA'ing points into New Taanan Mastery for more tradeskill trophies!
