Small Heads up but I went into CC to farm ore and after killing an orc I got a NEGATIVE Froststone dwarf faction hit. Yes killing an orc said its lowering my froststone faction.

There are NO viable quests to raise your faction with the froststone dwarves yet. There are hints to many quests but they are all still broken and have not been fixed.

The only quest I know about is a 50p book you can turn in for 1 small faction hit.

I killed 20 and was still dubious so I don't know if this is a text error or a small hit nor do I know how many it will take to go to Kos and I'd rather not find out.

So this is going to screw any tailor for velious items or any smith seeing as this was the best source of ore.

I seem to recall hearing that at the last Fan Faire they mentioned possibly adding positive hits to Froststone when killing orcs. I'll wager that they just goofed when adding the faction hit.

Btw, the 50pp book quest is viable if you can afford the 1050pp it'll take to hit apprehensive. It's a pain, but easy enough.

I really hope the fac hit is backwards. I did bug report it but that book quest is just stupid. :)

Ok you get to apprehensive with 1kplat. Then you go and kill orcs for say a tailoring run of 50. Now your kos and can NOT spend the 1k plat to get back up OR maybe your on the edge of dubious so now you have to spend another 1k to get back to apprehensive.

May as well just pay 50p and buy bricks from people :)

NOT good for the many many poor tradeskillers out there who are trying to level their skill and don't make money on their tradeskills.

I will go and confirm tonight, and if the hit is still negative (today was patch day, and perhaps it's been fixed) I will will feedback it as well.

This sounds like a bug, based on what Dan had intended to do after the Fan Faire. I've got a ping in to the folks at VI about it, and will post back when/if I hear anything.

Wow I hope it is backwards. Not only do we need velium to skill up for tailoring. We need it for the 8th Shawl armor. An its not really good to get velium from SS since it gives bad CoV faction. I guess I will wait and see what happens.

I didn't get any faction hits for killing the crystaline spiders. FYI.

This is being fixed in the December 5th patch (according to patch message anyway :) )

Hopefully they are now positive hits and not negative.

BTW The forges are in. There is one near the bank so its somewhat convient to break down ore or making boning or whatever. Just have your supplies banked.

On Test,

Killing orcs in CC now gives positive dorf hits. Yay!

However, as of last night the outside ones still gave negative hits -- it's been reported so should be fixed soon. :)
