View Full Version : BUG! New rogues cannot make poison

Finally got around to making a rogue yesterday. Unless I am missing something incredibly obvious, they can no longer get make poison.

I got her to level 20. Apply poison was available from the trainer at 18, but make poison is completely missing from all trainers (I know there used to be a bug that the FV trainer didn't have it, its not that problem). I tried Shar Vahl, PoK, Kelethin and Kaladim.

Someone said maybe they get it innately at 20. Nope, its not in my skill list. When I got a mortar and pestle and tried to do a combine it doesn't do anything (no messages at all). Doesn't open up in usual UI interface (kind of like i'm not a rogue).

I understand if they wanted people to stop buying up make poison skills from a trainer, but then just make it work like tailoring or pottery where the trainer tells you that you have to gain more experience in the field and can no longer train up after skill 20.

Am I missing something obvious or does anybody have any ideas?

I have no clue what went wrong, but be sure to /bug it so the devs know about it.

Wonder if it has to do with them removing it from trainers so people couldn't use Stanos to get the high lvl points with cash.

All tradeskills go to 300 now and all of them must be learned "in the field" now. Including poisonmaking and spell research.

Sorry your easy days are over, I'm gonna go back over to my forge now and snicker softly.

Its not about it being easy, its about Rogues don't even have the skill available at all. You used to have to spend 1 point at the trainer to even get the skill, now you cannot.

That was not Veccini's question. I only commented that the removal of the old "easy way" might be the cause of Veccini's problem - in removing make poison from stanos, they removed it from all rogue gm npc's.

I have no clue what went wrong, but be sure to /bug it so the devs know about it.

There's a bug in the system right now, where none of the "restricted" tradeskills are not on the trainers for new people to learn. They should be back with the next update.

Well, here it is March 15th, and I STILL cannot start Make Poison on my rogue. I have tons of patience, and I know it can take a while to find bugs and fix them, but come on-3 weeks?

hometown trainers have it available since last patch, even though the PoK rogues still don't.

I have gotten my L20 ROG to 275 poisonmaking last week ... so i does work.

I got my gnome rogue to level 20 about 2 weeks ago and he trained a point in poisonmaking at a trainer in Ak'anon. (and then proceeded to make his way up to 278 skill)
