Crystalline Valor Glaze

I have exhausted all my options: read through the pottery faq, searched all the PoP recipes, and did a search on the message boards.

Has anyone found a use for Crystalline Valor glaze yet?

It's the glaze needed to fire Planar Gem Encrusted Steins.

CVG, Lacquered Gem (Pearl, Peridot, Opal, or Star Ruby) and a HQ firing Sht, in kiln with an unfired planar stein, gets you one.

Thanks very much. :D If it was a dog it would have bitten me. 210+combines on star ruby encrusted steins with out a skill up has me avoiding the word stein. :(

Speaking of Planar Steins... is there any market for these things? I look at them, and they seem to kinda...well... suck. I made a vast number of unfired ones on my way to 216 pottery, but I trashed them all rather than use a gem and add to my costs. Did I do right?

The stien is used in quests "Beyond Planar Traveler's Manual' to get:

Beginner Stealth Manual
magic, lore, no drop
secondary, range
AC 7, DEX 6, AGI 6, HP 15, mana 15
wt 1.0, size small, all/all

In my opinion, yes.

I made 3 of the steins used for the quest (planar peridot) and didn't fire them, fired up one to sell (they WERE lore at the time) in the bazaar. Finally had to reduce the cost to not quite cover my expenses just to get rid of the thing. So i only make them on request.

I would think the Opal stains would have some market, but nobody seems to want them. +9 Sta +7 Agi is not bad for younger players. You'd think that you could easily get 100pp for these, but nobody will buy them.

Stamina is pretty useless to the classes that aren't already holding a weapon in the only slots that this thing fits in. Agility is pretty useless to everyone. Whoever designed these things seems to have been smoking the good stuff. ;)
