Stuck at 199 :(

I need some advice. I got stuck badly at 199. I know that they changed the skill ups on pottery, but it took about 100 combines (casseroles) to get from 195 to 199. So, I thought averaging like 1 skill up per 25 attempts wasn't bad, but now I'm stuck badly and it's getting expensive!

All I want to do is hit 200 for now because I already have tailoring 200+ and I'm not going to do any AA stuff for a while. How do I do this?

I've tried 22 combines of opal steins, 20 combines of green ceramic bands, and 20 combines of planar steins (never bothered to fire 'em). I just can't get it to BUDGE. I feel like it's broken. :(

Is 199 hell on purpose or am I just unlucky?

I had the same feeling...been stuck at 222 for a couple weeks now and have made a ton of things (40 star ruby steins, 30 imbued steins, 30 crucibles, and around 60 ceramic bands (white and red). No luck.

Just bad luck?

I've GM'd three tradeskills so far -- jewelcraft (long ago), brewing and fletching.

The skillups are entirely random. I've gone as many as 187 combines without a skillup.

When working on fletching doing mithril arrows, I was averaging 1 skillup per about 70 combines. As you're only at 62, you haven't even hit the average yet.

Skillups from 200+ aren't going to come as plentiful as you're used to.

Wow, 1 in 70, and I thought I had a bad streak a few days ago when I got four skill ups off 220 star ruby stein attempts...

Somewhere between 190 and 200, everyone hits a roadblock like this. Mine was 193 I think :(

I got 1 skillup per 20 tries from 200 to 211 where I am now. My int was at 285 for those combines.

I decided to take a short break and let my wounded bank account heal.

I was "stuck" at 227 ... i made 220 combines without a single skill increase ... then combine 221 got me skill 288 ... 8 combines later i hit 229, 1 combine later 230, and another 12 combines later 231 ... in the end i made 14 points in 600 combines that day ... and was so glad i didnt give up after the first 10 stacks :)

I'm there too. Stuck at 198 and 140+ combines of opal steins hsn't budged it. Somedays I wish the RNG wasn't so evil!

I even have 255 wis, over 100 int and the oh, so handy, geerlok :)

Pretty sure she meant 261, since the cap is 355 now (for casters anyway, I don't whether to be annoyed that I can only get to 305, or grateful that I only have to get to 305).

Aye the cap is 355. But for the exact grand total, that is what I have. Just because VI caps amounts, doesn't mean I do.

Not sure how you get 261. W/O KEI & Innate Enhancements, I have 336 Wisdom.
